3D animation, traditional art and me
Hello !
I am Preetam V. Gogate. Originally from Mumbai, India and currently living in Dubai, UAE.
I have successfully completed my 3d character animation diploma (March 2012) from Vanarts i.e Vancouver institute of media arts, Vancouver, Canada.
Learning 3D character animation at Vanarts; definitely has been a milestone in my career and my artistic life. It has been a wonderful journey in terms of Understanding performance and acting, timing, animation principles, study of detailed human anatomy and body mechanics, story-visual language and creating believable character animation.
Previously I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Fine arts (B.F.A applied arts) with illustration as my specialization (June 2008). I have also completed a certificate course in Autodesk MAYA from MAAC (Maya academy of Advanced Cinematics)dadar, Mumbai, India. (Jan 2009)
B.F.A (Applied art) helped me in improving my drawing and illustration skills with a new vision of designing aspects. While doing B.F.A, I started working on sculptures (clay and wire) which gave me a new perspective in understanding 3 dimensional artwork. I developed a new style in wire sculptures, also I often do outdoor landscape paintings.
Currently I am working with Olive Green Studios, Dubai, UAE as a production artist and a 3D animator since September 2012.
I am a 3D character animator with the traditional art background.
